The Craft Exhibition

The moment I see an advertisement or get a message of craft fairs and exhibitions, I am automatically guided and end up landing there. I start buying those amazingly beautiful pieces like there is no tomorrow. Rather getting secretive about the source of my beautifully crafted sarees and dupattas, I feel like announcing to the people to look at the craftsmanship, the fine and intricate designs, the art, the beautiful color combinations, the weaves etc etc. These artisans are unaware of the master pieces they create. 

 

I want them to reach to more and more people. I love to see the happiness on their faces when they get rewards for the extra ordinary piece of art they create, when their work is being appreciated by the mass.

I really feel that there can not be a better gift to your loved ones but a loom saree, a hand crafted piece. Well, its proved to be a very tough decision for me to part these sarees and offer it on my gifting website. 

 

OHH MY GOD....How I want to hoard all of them totally to myself. Anyways it happens when you gift your favorite things to your loved ones so that they can also treasure the precious and priceless things.

So it seems, For the last two weeks my Facebook page has been brightened up by a steady stream of beautiful faces. Its amazing, astonishing, remarkable, actually I am running short of adjectives here. Every one is looking so beautiful and confident that I can not choose any one prettiest among all. The best part is every other selfie is creative in its own way. I have seen a nerdy selfie where there is a girl wearing huge glasses with a big black frame with a fish tale and I found it very cool. Now I could say that “Nerd is a new Sexy.” well, that's not it. Another girl who loves fashion, she likes to update herself with the recent trends. So whenever she tries anything new, she clicks a selfie. And how could I forget that little 15 years old girl with such beautiful brown eyes and braces? She doesn't seem uptight about her braces at all. In fact she was self assured that her beautiful brown eyes are attractive enough. 

But hold on, not only girls but guys are also showcasing their moods, style and looks through selfies. Mark clicked his selfie where he is wearing a cool hoodie and a hip-hop cap. Isn't it commendable that people are not insecure about themselves that they are not photogenic?

Well now that you’re behind the camera taking your own photograph you don’t have to worry about that anymore. And posting up selfies also announces to the world, "here I am, watch out!"

Posting more selfies shows that you are comfortable in your own skin, in your style and comfortable with posting pictures with only you in them!

Pleasant Remembrances

Now when its finally done, I sit with my tea and look back, the memories of childhood, opening up the gift wrapper, eyes wide and heart pounding with excitement, in hopes of discovering that perfect gift. I still remember the time when I got a badminton racket on my birthday and how I cherished it for a long time. Even the gifts like pen set, Archies cards, a red dress etc. which I have held close to my heart. I stored most of my favorite gifts in my childhood. That wait we used to do to get our wish list to be gifted by every possible relative of the family. I still treasured some of the memories.

How we all remember collecting travel tickets, stamps, magnets, coins and put them all together in your personal journal? This one is the best of childhood memories, it seems so interesting now that I' m older.

Today is the time when I get little nostalgic. I always recall the magic of gifts, that excitement, the joy when I was a kid. Everything was so fresh and exhilarating that you we used to keep next to our pillows for nights. Birthday was and still is the most favorite occasion for everyone.
